PBM, PGM, PNM, and PPM Specification

A separate technical specification is provided for each of the four variants (PBM, PGM, PNM, and PPM) of this format:

pbm.txt

PBM.TXT is a plain ASCII document describing the portable bitmap file format.

pgm.txt

PGM.TXT is a plain ASCII document describing the portable graymap file format.

pnm.txt

PNM.TXT is a plain ASCII document describing the portable anymap file format.

ppm.txt

PPM.TXT is a plain ASCII document describing the portable pixmap file format.
